Bar Camino was our third stop on our taco crawl this weekend and overall we enjoyed our food. For drinks, we split an Orange Fizz, which was delicious. We also split the dessert plantains and ice cream and it was probably our favorite dish of the day. The plantains just flowed so wonderfully with the richness of the ice cream - absolutely delectable! The cod of the fish taco itself was well battered and quite tasty, but the balance of the other ingredients - the cilantro, pico de gallo, tartar, and guacamole just didn't work together and the tortilla recipe (I believe they were handmade) wasn't the best. The dish could probably do with a re-work. Finally a couple neutrals - the service was fairly slow, even with an almost empty house, and while the patio was comfortable it felt dated. We would definitely return but next time would probably try out a few other items on the menu.

Amazing happy hour! House margaritas are $5, all snacks were $6. The guac was to die for as well as the nacho fries! Happy hour is from 4-6 everyday at the bar

Great place for HH if you're lucky to snag a table at the bar or patio area (weather permitting). House margaritas are strong, chips and salsas are good with thick guacamole . Brusselsprouts are delicious and so as the quesabirria. Patio is best on a sunny day, and margarita is good any day.

I have now been to Bar Camino a few times with groups of friends and family. It has become a reliable favorite for entertaining guests in downtown Walnut Creek, due to the high quality of food and drinks, spacious and inviting dining areas, and efficient service. That said, it's a bit pricier than some equally good Mexican food options outside of downtown. We usually get guacamole and chips to start, which also comes with two salsas. They have great tacos - the pescado was my favorite. I recently tried the Machaca Beef enchiladas, which were very good. For a side dish, I recommend the maduros (sweet plantains). They also make great margaritas and cocktails, and I love the selection of non-alcoholic mocktails too! I recently enjoyed the Happiness & Sunshine mocktail. It's easy to make a reservation via their website or OpenTable. Parking is easy next door at the Library garage.

I came here on a Saturday night with a friend . There's parking all over the street or a parking garage one block away. There are three places to eat the inside restaurant part , the bar, and outside. We sat at a bar table that is very active. I ordered a lime margarita with tortilla soup. I always ask for extra lemon. The margarita was good and I didn't d get my extra lemon. The tortilla soup was pretty good and portions were decent size. The service was good and server was very attentive. Overall good experience a great place to hangout.

Best. Chile. Relleno. Ever. This place really exceeded my expectations. I sat at the bar and the bar tender was so helpful in making drink and food recommendations. Service was 10/10!! You need to get the chile relleno. I also added Birria for some more fantastic flavor, not needed but so delish. It was massive so there was enough leftovers for dinner the next night! Ambiance was so cute, I would definitely recommend if you are in Walnut Creek!

Great food, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere. This was my first time visiting, but my husband had been before and wanted to come back. I was impressed by the vegetarian options on the menu. Portions were large (2 tacos was plenty). I had the Los Hongos mushroom tacos, which were delicious. My husband had the Tex-Mex combo and a quesabirria taco (he added one one to my order for $6). We also shared a Good Riddance Margarita and said the Hortchatalada he had last time was also very good. The waitress was awesome, she was super nice, didn't miss a beat and even packed up fresh chips and salsa for our leftovers.

Chille relleno was so indulgent it was deep fried with a lot of cheese. Too much cheese for me and I love cheese. But the birria on top & delicious rice & sauce are going to have me coming back for more. Good drinks, nicely decorated w indoor, bar, and patio seating. My boyfriend enjoyed his enchiladas. The bite I had was pretty good.

After drinks nearby, three of us landed here for dinner on a Saturday night. Since the weather was nice, we grabbed a table on the patio and were helped throughout the evening by Arleth, who was incredible. We started with a round of drinks and chips and salsa which hit the spot. I love anything horchata and enjoyed the horchatalata. I usually shy away from slushie drinks but this was not too watery or icy. We decided to split a Caesar salad, shrimp tacos and beef enchiladas. While shrimp tacos in general are not my favorite, everything was hot and the quality was good. If I was in the area and looking for Mexican food, I'd definitely return.
